A Beautiful Day With Some Beautiful Views!
Follow along as we introduce this Wednesday’s real wedding couple, Alicia Shebel and Shaun Duffy. The two tied the knot at the breathtaking CopperWynd Resort and Club in Fountain Hills and the talented Brooke Photography snapped some pretty incredible shots of their big day! Take a look…
How did you two meet or how did he propose?:
We met at the Sunglasses Hut where I was working. He came in and stayed for a while to talk to me. He said he would come back and I thought I lost the sale, he went next door and came back 20 minutes later to ask me for my phone number. It took a few weeks of him reaching out before I decided to go on a date with him but we finally met up and the rest is history. Fast forward four years… He proposed to me on Christmas morning by letting me open all of my gifts and giving me the ring last. I was sitting down when he handed me the box and he let me unwrap it but he said “you are going to want to stand up for this” as he knelt down in front of me and took the box from me to open it.
Were you happy with the venue?:
I was extremely happy with the venue, the views were wonderful and everyone could not stop talking about how beautiful it was.
Describe the theme or color scheme of your wedding, and what you chose for your table setting at the reception:
As to not outshine the natural beauty of the venue and desert scenery, we chose neutral-blush pink with accents of gold to give some flair.
Tell us about your photographer. Why did you choose this photographer? where you happy with the whole experience?
I chose my photographer because I heard that she was one of the best around and photos were something I said I would not skimp on. What I did not realize was that by choosing Brooke Photography I was not just getting great photos, I was also making a connection with someone who goes out of their way to make your day amazing. From the moment I sat down for a consultation to the engagement session and the wedding, Brooke made me feel like I was her only client. I am so happy with the experience, she made the photo sessions fun, was accommodating, and even offered me support and advice when I asked. I will definitely be using Brooke Photography in the future.
What piece of advice would you give other brides planning their big day?
Seriously, take the time to enjoy every moment of it and start planning early. I procrastinated a little and the week before I felt like I was in a wedding tornado. Although everything at the wedding turned out perfect, I wish that I had started earlier so I could have had more fun while doing it because you only do it once!
