How did you two meet or how did he propose?:
Patrick and I met while both attending Arizona State University in 2009. Patrick proposed in March of 2014 on a hike in Boynton Canyon, Sedona. When we reached the top of the hike, he proposed!
Were you happy with the venue?:
Yes! We fell in love with Sedona Golf Resort the second we arrived. We actually cancelled the other appointments we had to look at other venues. They have hands down the most phenomenal view. It is truly magical! Katie Draxler is extremely helpful and really makes sure that your wedding day goes off without a hitch.
Describe the theme or color scheme of your wedding, and what you chose for your table setting at the reception:
The whole theme of our wedding was Desert Southwest. Even though we live in Arizona, most of our guests were coming from out of town and had never been to Arizona or a desert environment. We wanted colors like orange, brown, taupe, green, and turquoise. We used real sedona red rock, and cholla bark, along with desert flowers and cacti. Events by Showstoppers did an amazing job with the flowers, and they were able to complete the cattle skull creation of my dreams! This was the focal point when you first entered the venue. For our tables we named them after famous rock formations in Sedona by using photoshop and rustic looking picture frames.
What piece of advice would you give other brides planning their big day?:
My advice to other brides would be to try to relax, things will turn out better than you ever imagined.
