How did you two meet or how did you propose?:
Colby and I actually went to the same Jr. High & High School but did not become friends until about 7 years later when he decided to reach out to me on Facebook to see how I was doing after all that time. Ha!
How did you find your venue? Were you happy with it?:
We discovered The Paseo by word-of-mouth through a coworker who had taken a class with one of the Peralta sisters. The moment that Colby & I stepped out of our car to tour the venue, we fell in love. The venue was still under construction at the time but we could tell it was going to be exactly what we were looking for. The Peralta family was a dream to work with. They made the planning process easy & enjoyable and executed everything on the day of flawlessly.
Describe the theme or color scheme of your wedding, and what you chose for your table setting at the reception:
The colors for our wedding were navy, blush, champagne and gold. We wanted the flowers to match the desert feel of the venue so we added succulents to the centerpieces and decor. The venue is stunning by itself, so we wanted to keep the decor minimal to highlight the natural beauty of the surroundings.
What piece of advice would you give other couples planning their big day?:
It sounds so cliche, but enjoy every moment. If you start to let yourself get stressed out, take a step back and remind yourself that the planning process and wedding should be enjoyable. Don't take yourself too seriously and remember to just have fun.
