1. How did you two meet or how did he propose?: Neither of us could tell you exactly how we met or first became friends, but know it was in middle school. Some time between 8th grade choir and 10th grade English classes, it didn't take much to see how much we loved laughing together and making fun of each other. Kelsey doesn't admit to anything more than just friends, but Brian calls it "planting seeds."

The summer between sophomore and junior year of college, we started hanging out more and realized just how much we enjoyed one another's company and officially started dating. We spent the second half of college together before Brian moved to Canada and then Sweden to study and play hockey, and Kelsey to Texas for more school. We made it through three years in a long-distance relationship and got engaged when Kelsey was home visiting from Texas and Brian surprised her with a proposal at their favorite spot in Sedona.

2. Were you happy with the venue?: Absolutely. We could not have been happier with The Paseo. Kelsea was more than accommodating and we had no issues. The entire night was perfect, not to mention how easy they made things for us in the months leading up to the wedding. Our guests were very complimentary on the venue and have continued to tell us months after the wedding how much they loved it out there. We are both Arizona natives and wanted to have a beautiful but laid-back feel, and The Paseo ended up being everything we pictured and more for our desert wedding.

3. Describe the theme or color scheme of your wedding, and what you chose for your table setting at the reception: We ended up putting together burgundy, peach, navy, and white flowers with plenty of greenery in our bouquets and trellis over the ceremony site. The bridesmaids wore burgundy dresses while the groomsmen sported dark navy tuxedos. The venue provided gorgeous long wood tables that we wanted to show off, so we went without the tablecloth and our florist put together a sort of runner full of candles, greenery and succulents to compliment the desert vibe.

4. What piece of advice would you give other brides planning their big day? Enjoy the process. Your wedding is not just about your wedding day, but you’ll also remember and cherish the moments that you spend with your loved ones leading up to the wedding itself. The night goes by fast, but you’ll have just as many memories of food tasting with your fiance, picking out flowers with your girls, and dress shopping with your mom. Everything will come together so don’t let any stress overshadow how excited your family and friends are to share in all the moments with you both.
