Romantic and Rustic in Sedona

1. How did you two meet or what was the proposal like?: The proposal happened during a trip to Leavenworth, Washington; a town nestled in the Cascade Mountains. We were visiting a local winery, where we had the place all to ourselves, and that’s when Spencer popped the question! We had a private lunch next to the vineyards afterwards and soaked in the beautiful weather.

2. Were you happy with the venue?: We were absolutely thrilled with Sky Ranch Lodge. The views of Sedona’s red rocks were breathtaking and made for the perfect backdrop, it was magical! We couldn’t be happier with our choice, and we are so grateful to everyone for creating such an unforgettable night!

3. Describe the style or color scheme of your wedding, and what you chose for your table setting at the reception: We really wanted to complement the colors of Sedona and incorporated a lot of golds and coppers, with burgundy and earth tones. We wanted the wedding to feel intimate and romantic with rustic elements, using a mix of farm tables to add warmth. We used sage runners and chose lots of greenery, in addition to romantic candles and whimsical glasses, for our table settings. Our added personal touch was naming each of the tables after a spot in Sedona.

4. What piece of advice would you give other couples planning their big day?: A wedding planner, videographer, and photographer are an absolute must have! Our planner, Paige, was a godsend and made everything go smoothly – I don’t know what we would’ve done without her! Schyler Anderson Photography and Alex Kennedy Films made for such a great team and captured everything perfectly! The photos and videos are something that Spencer and I will cherish forever. The day goes by SO quickly, so try your best to soak in every moment!
