Garden Glamour in Scottsdale! Our new cover is on newsstands today. The abundance of greenery at The Scottsdale Plaza Resort made it the perfect Scottsdale wedding venue for our garden-esque styled photoshoot captured to perfection by Laurie with Sweetface Photography! Nicole Arend Weddings & Events and Pop N’ Daisies brought together the perfect blend of vintage and modern romance!
When Nicole Arend of Nicole Arend Weddings and Events saw the newly remodeled outdoor ceremony space at The Scottsdale Plaza Resort, she loved the idea of having a fresh, clean slate to work with. The space’s lush lawn and floral border inspired her to create this romantic vintage garden wedding design with modern touches, the perfect compliment to this Scottsdale wedding venue.
FABULOUS FLORALS. Naturally, flowers play a major role in any garden-themed wedding and Jaime Mattson of Pop N Daisies gave her arrangements real star power. For the ceremony site, she started with The Enchanted Garden Twig & Vine Archway from Glamour & Woods and added an incredibly lush spray she fashioned out of White Cloud garden roses, Italian and Israeli ruscus and tree and leather leaf ferns. Pretty lanterns set on greenery light the way down the aisle.
GATED GLORY. Nicole used one of the three rustic gates at the ceremony site to create the perfect backdrop for a photo-worthy seating area. Once again, Jaime worked her magic to adorn the gate with roses and greenery, then topped it off with an amazing arch of Silver Dollar Eucalyptus. White Guinevere chairs, a plush, grey Hamilton sofa, and two Ritz side tables completed this stylish setting along with wood LOVE letters that are clearly living large.
DIVINE DETAILS. For our bride, Nicole chose a v-neck gown with a flowing tulle skirt and lace details for a classic yet slightly vintage look. The richly patterned pillows by the cozy fire nicely complement it. And take a close look at our groom’s white tie. Its textured design pairs so nicely with the lace on his bride’s gown. In his sharp grey suit and brown accessories he definitely looks ready to say “I do.”
TIMELESS TABLESCAPE. Starting with a rustic white farm table and richly detailed Louis Driftwood Antique chairs, Nicole added crisp, white dinnerware and soft, baby blue linens. Her blue cut glass water goblets add even more vintage ambiance. In her stunning table-length floral garland, Jaime thoughtfully included “something blue.”
UP IN THE AIR. Nicole proved that it’s possible to take something trendy like balloons and make them work with a vintage garden theme. We love how she softened their look by tucking in flowers and greenery. The three-tiered wedding cake by Silver Rose Bakery is a true work of art. Look at how the flowers so gracefully cascade down each tier!
Nicole started with a vision of having an abundance of greenery and flowers and really made it blossom with this beautiful wedding design at this Scottsdale wedding venue. Her choice of an enchanted archway for the ceremony site set the tone for a very enchanting garden wedding.
