1. How did you two meet or what was the proposal like?:
Stefan & I both grew up in Flagstaff, Arizona (never knowing each other - which is hard since its a small town). We both moved away for a while after graduating college but then in September of 2021 we both moved back "home" to Flagstaff, AZ and swiped right on Bumble. We were each other's first dates back in Flagstaff. Our first date was at a local coffee shop, we ended up having 3 dates in one day because we just kept wanting to see each other. Stefan proposed to me while we were on a family vacation in Hawaii. We decided before we left for the trip that we were just going to have an “us” day while we were there. On December 1, 2023 is when he popped the question at no better place than a local coffee shop on the island of O’ahu.
2. Were you happy with the venue?:
We were beyond happy with Agave of Sedona. When I was touring locations with my mom in Northern Arizona, Agave of Sedona was our last stop in Sedona and once we arrived John met us in the parking lot and welcomed us. Once we went through the entrance I started crying, I could picture myself getting married. Agave of Sedona is truly magical and pictures do not do it justice. John and the entire team were amazing to work with!
3. Describe the theme or color scheme of your wedding, and what you chose for your table setting at the reception:
For our color scheme we did not want to take away from the beauty of Sedona - we wanted to complement it. We went with the colors of white, champagne, green and pops of Sedona red. Four our table setting we decided to keep it very simple as we wanted the guests to still see the red rocks from inside the ballroom and be able to talk with everyone at their table. We decided to have a fewh different kinds of candles and bud vases.
4. What piece of advice would you give other couples planning their big day?
Biggest piece of advice I could give to any couple planning for their special day is to enjoy the planning process and to remember this is your day! Also on our wedding day make sure to carve out some time for just the two of you even if it's just 15 minutes – this was advice given to us & I am forever grateful!
