1. How did you two meet or what was the proposal like?: We went to high school together, ran in the same groups and had the same interests, but our paths didn’t cross until later. After high school our friends all went to the Oregon sand dunes and that’s where we had our first real conversation. About 3 years after that conversation we were both out of long term relationships and reconnected. 2 years later we were at the same sand dunes and he to proposed by dropping the ring to me with his drone while I was riding my quad.
2. Were you happy with the venue?: We technically didn’t have a venue, we got married in the middle of the desert. It was beautiful! We wouldn’t change it if we could.
3. Describe the theme or color scheme of your wedding, and what you chose for your table setting at the reception:We went with a boho theme with terracotta being our main color. The center pieces were glass jars with pompous grass on a carved wood round. This sat on top of terracotta dyed cheesecloth runners and small tea lights surrounding.
4. What piece of advice would you give other couples planning their big day? Make sure you don’t fall into caring too much what other people will think. Make it as comfortable and accommodating as possible for your guests. But make sure it screams you! We got married in the middle of the desert, we drove our razor and dirt bikes in our wedding attire. We catered our guests with street tacos and a margarita machine. I still hear from people about how fun, comfortable, and relaxing our wedding was.
