A Real Wedding at The Boulders Resort & Spa

How did you two meet or how did you propose?: We met at a party that our gym had after competing in our gym competition. Evan's duo got first place and that is the first time I noticed him. We talked that night and went on our first date the next Tuesday and the rest is history. He proposed on a duffy boat in San Diego. He had brought a blanket along (as I am always cold) and when he handed me the blanket it was a mural of pictures of us and at the bottom it read, "Will you marry me?" It was so sweet!!

How did you find your venue? Were you happy with it?: We looked at multiple venus across the valley and finally decided on The Boulders. We could not have picked a more beautiful location for our nuptials. Everything about the staff, the scenery, and the accommodations made it an absolutely perfect venue.

Describe the theme or color scheme of your wedding, and what you chose for your table setting at the reception: Our theme was desert chic and we used a pink blush accent with natural ivory and green succulents. Our table settings had ivory tablecloths with upgraded place settings which included a silk blush napkin with a fancy fold.

What piece of advice would you give other couples planning their big day?: To savor every moment of the day. You will likely never have this group of people together in one place again, so cherish it! Not everything will go exactly as planned but if you try to make light of the little things, the day will go much smoother.
