Rooftop Romance

1. How did you two meet or what was the proposal like?: I had started a new job and within a couple of weeks, one of my new coworkers had mentioned she had the "perfect guy" for me and knew we would hit it off. A few months later, we met each other at her Christmas party and instantly connected, my coworker was right! He proposed three years later on New Year's Eve on a rooftop at midnight, it was the perfect backdrop with fireworks.

2. Were you happy with the venue?: We were very happy with the venue! We wanted something untraditional as this was both of our 2nd marriages and wanted something that felt more "us." We got engaged on a rooftop and married on a rooftop! It felt full circle.

3. Describe the theme or color scheme of your wedding, and what you chose for your table setting at the reception: Theme: Downtown Rooftop Sunset; color scheme was colors of the sunset (peaches, pinks, purples, creams, etc.), our table setting was florals that matched my bouquet inside a gold hexagon vase.

4. What piece of advice would you give other couples planning their big day?: Give yourself more time than you think for photos. Also allot yourself more time between before photos & when the ceremony starts. Our wedding coordinator warned that we would want a "cool off" period between photos and ceremony but we didn't follow her advice and kept going, I ended up being so hot and sweaty before walking down the aisle and having to quickly try and re-curl my hair seconds before!
